Director James Gunn — the mastermind behind the Guardians franchise — took to Instagram to joke about some of the “practical effects” Marvel Studios is using for Avengers 4.The director posted an image of a real-life raccoon wearing Rocket’s uniform from the first Guardians flick.
“Using a lot more practical effects on the set of Avengers 4…” Gunn joked.”But, really from the Facebook page of Natasha La Mapacha.Amazing…”
The picture is just cute enough to make you say “Aww..” before you quickly wonder to yourself:”How the heck did they get a costume on a live racoon?”
Since the success of both Guardians films — and a third flick slated to be released sometime in 2020 — Gunn is a fan-favorite director among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Not only is he responsible for bringing the Guardians to life, he’s also been tabbed as an executive producer for Avengers:Infinity War and Avengers 4 and has gone on record saying he has some plans for the cosmic-side of the MCU in a post-Guardians world.
