Marvel Studios is known for playing it close to the vest with upcoming films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and when it comes to the third and fourth installments of the Avengers franchise even the cast members are somewhat in the dark.

Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch, told Stephen Colbert on a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that there was nothing she could reveal about the next Avengers movie. Nothing, that is, except that directors Anthony and Joe Russo went as far as withholding the complete Infinity War script from the cast.

"This time, they actually decided not to give us scripts," Olsen told Colbert. "They gave me my pages and then they explained other things that are happening... I'll be so shocked and surprised. I'll be like 'Oh I see, that's what was happening to the world at that time."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Dave Bautista and Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland both recently indicated that they had not seen full scripts from Avengers: Infinity War, though while Holland claimed to not even know who he was fighting in one scene, Bautista said that not reading the script was his own personal choice.

"I chose not to read it. Gods honest truth! I want to sit there with my bucket of popcorn and bag [of] M&Ms and be surprised!" the actor said on Twitter.

Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4, 2018.
