It’s no secret that Marvel Studios like to keep its own secrets safe. With so many blockbusting franchises under its belt, the company has a lot of stories being prepped which nosey fans want to learn all about. To keep spoilers at a minimum, the casts and crews involved with Marvel films tend to keep a tight lip about anything involving projects like Avengers: Infinity War. However, in a recent interview with Fandango, one of the stars from Guardians of the Galaxy did let one fact drop about Avengers: Infinity War

Speaking with the site, Zoe Saldana made a rather off-handed comment about one of the settings in Avengers: Infinity War. The starlet admitted that the Guardians of the Galaxy will first meet with the Avengers on their home turf.

“We’re also in space, so we’re not being held by gravity,” she teased, “And you know we’re stronger.”

There is little surprise in hearing that Avengers: Infinity War will partially take place in space. The extraterrestrial setting has been teased time and again, but fans are intrigued by the fact that the teams will first meet up in the stars.

On social media, fans are beginning to speculate what the galactic encounter may signal for Thanos and the teams’ mission to stop the Mad Titan. It is possible that the Avengers meet the Guardians in space because Thanos’ intergalactic plans force the heroes off-planet. The choice may be a voluntary one, but fans can’t rule out the idea that Thanos does manage to destroy Earth and literally force the Avengers to go into space. The cosmic being did destroy half of the entire universe in the Marvel Comics; Anything is possible.

Fans do know a bit about the Avengers roster which heads into space. A first-look at the movie teased the trip would be made by Iron Man and Spider-Man at the very least, but many of the other Avengers can surely find a way to survive off-planet. If Star-Lord has managed to live away from Earth for so long, there are certainly ways for the others to do it as well.

Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
