Mark Millar, the comic book writer arguably best known for writing Marvel’s Civil War event, had high praise for Spider-Man: Homecoming, calling it one of, if not the, best films Marvel has made.

Millar, who was not overly impressed with Captain America: Civil War, has become a reliable Hollywood hitmaker, with his comics Kick-Ass and Wanted having been adapted to film. The Secret Service, done with artist Dave Gibbons (Watchmen), was adapted into Kingsman, and has its second film coming soon.
“Just out of Spider-Man and this might be the best Marvel movie so far,” Millar tweeted. “I’m absolutely serious. This is a perfect 10.”
Acknowledging one fan who said that she had a bit of Spider-Man fatigue, Millar added, “I felt exact same way. Seventh Spidey outing. What is there to say? But this movie blew me away.”
The film has earned glowing reviews, with over 90% positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. ComicBook.com’s own Brandon Davis said it was the best Spider-Man movie to date.
Spider-Man: Homecoming premieres in theaters July 7.
