New photos from the set of the Defenders reveal a reunion between Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.

Twitter user and Turkish fan site Kültürpat found the photos, depicting filming currently taking place in New York City.

In the photos, Luke Cage is shown in an altercation, Jessica Jones appears to be looking for… something, and the two have what looks like a heartfelt reunion. Some photos could be misleading, as the actor Cage appears to be grappling with is shown looking on affectionately.

One of the best aspects of the Jessica Jones series was seeing actors Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter‘s chemistry, even though the series ended with the two going separate ways. Could this be a hint of things to come? And if so, what does this mean for the other love interests that will be appearing in the show?

Cage found himself romancing both Simone Missick’s Misty Knight and Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple in Luke Cage.

Both their characters return for the Defenders, as well as Temple’s old flame Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox. Oh boy, the showrunners truly are working up one wonky Love Hexagon.
