Taika Waititi won plenty of Marvel fans over earlier this year with the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, and it sounds like he had the same effect on Marvel executives.

During a recent press junket for Ragnarok (via ScreenRant) Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was asked about Waititi's choice in music - particularly Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song'. As Feige revealed, Waititi used the same song in his initial pitch to direct the movie.

"Filmmakers sometimes will say, using clips of other movies, 'Here's what I have in mind.'" Feige explained. "And sometimes they're not good. Most of the times, they're okay. His was amazing, and was scored to that Led Zeppelin song. So from the beginning, that song kind of defined what Taika was going to do with this."

Ironically, it isn't the first time that the worlds of Thor: Ragnarok and 'Immigrant Song' have been paired together. But still, it sounds like Waititi's vision with the song was pretty significant, and that the fact that it made its way into the finished teaser trailer is worth noting.

"That it's in the trailer, that it's in the film," Feige added, "all from that first meeting, and from one of his first instincts of this movie, is very impressive."

While Thor: Ragnarok has yet to officially make its debut, its unique vision has already been praised by many. In particular, the film's use of music - both the soundtrack and the score from Mark Mothersbaugh - have been a hot topic amongst critics.

All in all, it's safe to assume that Ragnarok's creative leaps will help the film, which is on track for a pretty big weekend at the box office. As Waititi told ComicBook.com during a visit to Ragnarok's set, these unique choices will hopefully be worthwhile.

"It's probably the craziest of the Marvel films," Waititi explained to ComicBook.com, "in a good way."

Thor: Ragnarok lands in theaters on November 3rd.
