Thor: The Dark World

will be filming on location at the legendary Stonehenge prehistoric monument, according to Comic Book Movie. Citing tweets from Lucjan Kaliniecky, the site reveals that filming at the monument is underway already; they suggest that it may be used either as itself in the film or as an otherworldly locale set in one of the other realms--but it seems unlikely that they would film on location only to show one of the world's most recognizable locations as something else, doesn't it? CBM also points out that the site has appeared in several Marvel Comics over the years, most often as a site of some magical power. Any chance we'll see a Doctor Strange pop up in Thor 2, after all? Directed by Alan Taylor, Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Renee Russo, Christopher Eccleston and an ever-growing cast. It's expected in U.S. theaters on November 6, 2013.
