Earlier today, Hasbro announced that three Transformers movies are in development, due to come out in June of 2017, 2018, and 2019. Now they’ve given ComicBook.com some new information about those films, including the first solo movie for a robot in disguise.

“On June 8, 2018, a new film is being developed which will tell the never before heard story of Bumblebee, one of the most beloved characters from Hasbro’s Transformers universe,” a statement provided to ComicBook.com read. The movie comes out of the Paramount and Hasbro Allspark Pictures writers room in 2015.
They also re-confirmed that Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg return for Transformers 5 in 2017, which currently shares a June 23 release date with WB’s Wonder Woman (they probably won’t wind up sharing the date), but gave no new info on the third new film announced for June 28, 2019.
Bumblebee was a breakout star of the first Transformers live action film, and has recently starred as the new leader of the Autobots in Optimus Prime’s absence on the most current animated series in the franchise.
