Kingsman: How Colin Firth's Harry Returns in 'The Golden Circle'
The Butterfly Man
In The Golden Circle it's revealed that Harry Hart never actually died in the first film.
A flashback sequence reveals that when Valentine activated his frenzy frequency in that Kentucky church, it became a big blip on the radar of the Statesman organization (aka Kingsman's American cousin). Statesman agents Tequila (Channing Tatum) and Ginger (Halle Berry) flew to the church, where they found Harry near death.Recognizing Harry's digital glasses as official spyware, The Statesman assumed he was a fellow agent, and used one of their signature pieces of tech to save his life: Alpha Gel.
The gel quickly repaired the fatal damage to Harry's head, but not without a cost: Harry's mind had regressed to the days before he joined the military - back to when he had a simple dream to be a Lepidopterologist, spending his days studying butterflies.
With no agency to claim him, Harry stayed in the Statesman's care at their Kentucky HQ for years. His mind never repaired itself (as it was supposed to), due to the fact that there were no memories or mementos the Statesman could use to help him remember his life as a Kingsman.

In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Eggsy and Merlin (the only surviving Kingsman agents) come to Statesman's headquarters after finding a clue pointing them that way in the Kingsman doomsday scenario vault. Following a knuckle-dragging misunderstanding with Tequila, both agencies play nice, and Harry's existence is revealed to Eggsy and Merlin.
After several failed attempts to shock Harry's memory back using traumatic memories or reflex tests, Eggsy and Merlin are set to give up, and let Harry settle into his new life. However, Eggsy gets an eleventh-hour idea: he takes a puppy that looks like Harry's beloved Kingsman training pup, Mr. Pickle, and puts a gun to its head. That stress and trauma brings Harry back to the memory of his Kingsman training, and re-establishes his true identity.
However, while Harry's mind is repaired, his body is not. An attempted bar fight soon after recovering his memory goes horribly wrong, as Harry's instincts and reflexes are thrown way off, due to years of non-use. Even Harry's mind has a few glitches, as hallucinations of butterflies hit him at random intervals.
By the end of The Golden Circle, Harry taps back into his confidence and physical skills, in time to help Eggsy take down the evil Poppy Adams (Julianne Moore), and get revenge for his slain Kingsman friends.

When Kingsman: The Golden Circle ends, Harry and Eggsy are the very last of the Kingsman (R.I.P. Merlin), and in an act of greater alliance, they officially join forces with the Statesman.
The film leaves things off with a restored Kingsman tailor shop; Eggsy getting married to his Swedish princess girlfriend (with Harry as his surrogate father at the wedding), and the Kingsman following the Statesman into the much more lucrative liquor business as its front.
In a final shot of the film, the all-American Agent Tequila comes to the Kingsman tailor shop in his English best, presumably to embark on a new mission with Eggsy and Harry.
