The YouTube account for StudioCanal France is having a little fun with its audience.
Earlier this month, they released a trailer for Terminator 2: Judgment Day, using footage from the 1991 film but recut as if the trailer had been released recently.

Part of what you get out of the video at top is that a lot of the look, the humor, and the action of the original film still hold up.
What most of the commenters get out of it, is that modern-day trailers are full of the same kind of editing and sound effects, and that many of them give away too much of the movie for their tastes.
(Of course, that’s kind of the joke Studio Canal is going for.)
The premise of the film is that years after the original Terminator, a second and more advanced “T-1000” Terminator is sent back in time to kill the teenaged John Connor. Helping his mother protect him in the film is a T-800, the model that tried to kill him in the first movie, which has been caught and reprogrammed by Connor’s future self.
Numerous commenters objected to the idea of revealing Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 as the film’s hero, although that’s exactly what the original trailers for Terminator 2 did even in the ’90s.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day is coming to theaters in a 3D reissue to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary in 2017.
