BRETT DALTON

In a live chat with VH1, Brett Dalton, who plays Agent Ward on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., spoke about the past and future of the show and his character. Dalton spoke a bit about his past relationship with Agent May and his character's future. "We were always 'Agents with benefits,'" said Dalton, "so we tried to compartmentalize. I've never been in a no strings attached situation. It was a little sad…There's something special going on with Skye and Ward and I think fans will have to tune in to see how that develops." Dalton said that one of the most rewarding part of being on the show is the caliber of guest star it attracts. "I'm constantly surprised at the guest stars," said Dalton. "We've had Jaimie Alexander, and Bill Paxton, we will have Patton Oswalt. That means our show is really something worthwhile if those people want to come on." Dalton hinted a big things to come leading up to the show's season finale. When asked what the most difficult scene to shoot so far was, he said it hasn't actually aired yet. "It takes place in episode 18," Daton explained. "Can I tell you a single thing about it? No. But its after Captain America 2, so see that first. The world itself has changed because of the events of Captain America 2. "I'm particularly proud of the last half of our season. We started in one place and we ended in a different place. What's really cool is our show takes into account the events of Captain America 2…it takes this really cool turn and…I just can't say anymore other than I'm really, really happy with the way it goes, and that we saved the best for last." Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns April 1 on ABC.
