Warning: Spoilers ahead for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

While Jesse Eisenberg isn't yet sure whether Lex Luthor will appear in Justice League Part One, it seems likely that the film will feature something new from LexCorp, the fictional company operated by Luthor.

An official viral site tied to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice -- yes, the same one that recently distanced itself from Lex's actions in that film -- announced a new project coming from the company in 2017.

"Something big is coming," the message reads in part. "Our newest project will be fully functioning by 2017. Thank you for standing by our side."

Given that Lex's final words in Batman V Superman were used to tease that something or someone from the stars was coming -- "and he's hungry" -- one has to wonder whether whatever LexCorp has planned for next year is in fact some kind of failsafe set in place by Luthor before his arrest.

So...why would we assume this -- whatever it is -- will play a role in Justice League Part One?

That film is coming out in November of 2017. The only other DC Entertainment movie planned for that year is Wonder Woman -- but that film is said to take place mostly or exclusively during World War I, and to tie in with the images of Diana seen in the 1918 photograph in Batman V Superman.
