Following the announcement of DC's upcoming Batman v. Superman variant covers, Chris Daughtry has shared a couple small previews of the cover he's been tapped to draw for Batman #50.

Originally, the cover was announced to be drawn by Jim Lee. However, DC Comics has swapped Lee with the musician and unabashed comic book fan Daughtry (he admits to having cried "man tears" when he met Ben Affleck at San Diego Comic Con, but what Batman fan wouldn't?). The small teases he has posted show off tightly framed looks at the penciled version of his Batman #50 cover. Check them out:

This is obviously not Daughtry's first go at comic book art, though it will be his first time given the opportunity to do a cover. A few month's ago, we chatted about a Joker rendition he had worked up.

Batman #50 goes on sale March 23.
