Boston Marathon Bombing Comic Book Donations

With the horrible tragedy that took place in Boston earlier this week, a Boston-based comic book blogger is doing what she can to help provide some comfort to the Boston Marathon bombing victims. There were a large number of people injured during the bombings, including many children. Adri Cowan, who writes about comics at HappyBlogTime.com and for Boston Weekly's dig, has started an effort to donate kids-friendly comic books to the Boston Children's Hospital and other Boston hospitals. So far, local Boston comic shops like Larry's Comics and publishing companies like IDW and First Second Books (Macmillan) have donated to the effort. Cowan will be dropping off donations to the hospitals on the morning of Wednesday, April 24, and any publishers, shops or individuals who would like to send kid-friendly books only (by the deadline of April 23) can find details on how to give at HappyBlogtime.com.
