Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic Movie

Yesterday, Ain't It Cool News in a report that they clearly labeled as a rumor said Drew Karpyshyn might be working on a film version of the Star Wars video game Knights Of The Old Republic. Comicbook.com reported on the rumor last night and noted that recent activity from Drew Karpyshyn on Twitter suggested that he wasn't working on any Star Wars stuff currently. Today, Drew Karpyshyn has directly addressed the Knights Of The Old Republic rumor via Twitter. Drew Karpyshyn tweeted, "This would be awesome, but I haven't heard anything about a #KOTOR movie. But I'm not at #bioware anymore so...' While Drew Karpyshyn doesn't deny that a Knights Of The Old Republic could be in the works, he denies being involved in it, which the core of the rumor seemed to have been that he was working on a screenplay. It's always possible that there could really be a Knights Of The Old Republic movie in the works, and people at BioWare just assumed that Drew Karpyshyn would be working on the screenplay. In addition to squashing the Knights Of The Old Republic screenplay rumor, Drew Karpyshyn also ended another rumor before it got started. In response to a suggestion of a Darth Bane series, Drew Karpyshyn tweeted, "This would also be awesome, but nothing in the works that I'm aware of. #StarWars #rumors." So it looks like there's nothing official on Knights Of The Old Republic, but it's actually a pretty good idea. We're kind of hoping that Disney gives Drew Karpyshyn a call and makes this particular rumor become a reality.
