Marvel Heroes 2015 has a large content update available now, to tie-in to Avengers: Age of Ultron's release in theaters. The content update includes The Vision as a new playable character (I just spent some time with him, and he's amazing; he's great for both range and melee attacks), new costumes, new team-ups, and much more.

But we're here today to exclusively debut details on nine of the more than 700 (yes, I said seven hundred) achievements going into the game, rewarding dedicated players for feats big and small. Some of these are for things you'll naturally do while just playing through the main story, while others will encourage you to try new actions and game modes you might not jump into regularly. Finally  some of them encourage you to give up all other social activities to prove you're the ultimate Marvel Hero.

Crafting: Costumes: Lookin' Sharp

"Lookin' Sharp" awards you for doing something you'd probably do anyway. In this case, it's applying a visual effect to any costume. For this, you gain 1,000 credits. You'll get similar achievements when you add defensive or offensive affixes, or if you transfer these from one costume to another. There are around 20 Crafting achievements in total, so make sure you're mixing and matching like a potions master. This particular one also earns you the Coffer of Achievement.

Enemies: Thanks, Gaz!

There are a ton of fun enemy-related achievements, most of which are defeating X enemy Y number of times. But this one's especially fun – if you find and defeat the in-game incarnations of the Gazillion development team, you unlock this achievement, and a Grade 69 Doomsaw!

Enemies Advanced: Symbiote Civil War

Remember in classic JRPGs when you had to equip an item and fight a certain number of times to unlock a bigger, better item? Welcome to the Advanced Enemy achievements! In this particular one, you must equip Symbiote Infestation, then go fight Venom and beat him 22 times. You'll get a Grade 69 Symbiote Infestation for your troubles. There are similar achievements for the Hand, Kraven, and Sentinels, but we'll let you figure those particular ones out yourself (you'll be fighting a lot of Ninja).

Enemies: Takedowns

Completionists, you've got a lot of work to do. This sub-category of Enemy achievements has more than 30 within itself, and each is crazier than the last. Defeat Doctor Doom 100 times in Cosmic Terminals, and you think you've done it all. Then you have to beat him another 90 times for the next level of this achievement, and another 80 after that. But that's nothing compared to Kingpin, whose levels reach 500 and 450 times. Replayability is the name of the game with the Takedowns achievements, but you'll get some great rewards ranging from the Hand of Doom to the Personal Gem of the Kursed, and the ever-coveted "Magneto Was Right" T-Shirt.

Heroes: Deadpool

You thought I was going to just use Cable for this one, didn't you? Well, instead, let's look at his pal, Deadpool. Every individual character has multiple achievements of their own, including specific power uses, enemies defeated, reaching level 60, and so on. Deadpool's are especially fun because even his completion requirements are written in fourth-wall breaking style, including:

deadpool-fourth-wall

Breaking the Fourth Wall: "As me (Deadpool), totally ruin the game for all of my lame enemies by using my Server Lag Ultimate Power 20 times."

Weapon X Jerks: "Go beat up Mr. Sinister, Sabretooth, and Sauron for me. It'll make me (Deadpool) feel better."

What About Bob?: "Search for your old buddy, Bob, Agent of HYDRA. You may need to kill thousands of HYDRA Agents to make it easier."

Yeah, these achievements are going to be fun. A few other ones I'll just tease the name of, but not the character or description (you can guess some of these): "Puny God," "One Madelyne Was Enough," "I Was Right," "Princess Sparklefists," and "Six Pack."

X-Defense: Distinguished Valor-Peerless Valor

There are over 120 achievements in the "Game Modes" category, encouraging you to play all the different ways that you can in Marvel Heroes 2015. In the X-Defense mode, you'll see a wide range. You might feel pretty good when you unlock "Distinguished Valor" by defeating 100 supervillains, but the challenge only starts there. There are ten tiers to that achievement, ending in Peerless Valor when you've beat a staggering 100,000 supervillains in the mode. Get cracking – you'll luckily unlock some other achievements along the way.

Progression: Alt-aholic 1, 2, and 3

Every hero has multiple achievements of their own (as mentioned in detail above), for things like Unique Items, defeating specific characters with specific attacks, and reaching level 60 (the current max in the game). But if that's not enough for you, the Alt-aholic achievements might encourage you to try some new characters. With these, you unlock one with groupings of maxed-out characters, one for 10 level 60s, one for 25, and one for 50. As you go for these, you'll likely unlock the dedication and will definitely unlock the "Level Up!" achievements, too, doubling and tripling down on your rewards.

PVP: Nathan, I Am Your Father; As Cyclops, defeat Cable in PVP

I like to have a Star Wars reference in everything I write, and luckily, Gazillion came through for me with this PVP achievement. If you take down Cable with his daddy dearest, Cyclops, you'll unlock this achievement named after the ultimate line in Empire Strikes Back, and win yourself an Omega Orb. There's another Cable-based PVP achievement, too, called X-Cutioner's Song, to make old-school fans of the character happy.

Crafting: Secret Cow Level

If you craft a portal to the Confidential Bovine Sector (Well, we guess it's not so confidential since we're telling you about it. Sorry, Gaz!), you get this achievement. You also get exactly what this game needs: More Cowbell. Yes, you actually get an item called "Brevik's Cowbell," but we're pretty sure Will Ferrell doesn't come with it.

Which achievements are you most excited to try for? Who plans on being an insane completionist? Sound off in the comments!
