Jonas Cuaron, the award winning writer of Gravity, has joined the new Zorro movie to not only write but also direct.
Cuaron has five writing credits to his name and four for directing, though a couple belong to short films. His Desierto won the International Critics' Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and will release in the spring.
The new Zorro film will be titled Z! however a release date has yet to be announced.
The film will be financed by Lantica Media and begin prinicipal photography this summer at the Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios. According to the report from Heroic Hollywood, it will be "a new take on the beloved masked character of Zorro."
