Jurassic World is getting an IMAX release as big as its dinosaurs.

As IMAX announced today, Jurassic World will set a worldwide record for an IMAX theater day-and-date release. The Jurassic Park follow-up will open across nearly 445 international IMAX screens starting June 10, before landing on 364 U.S. IMAX screens on June 12. With a combined total topping 800 screens, Jurassic World will put the previous record holder—2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2—squarely into extinction.

"Summer box office has been riding high since Universal Pictures' Furious 7 launched in April, and now we look forward to that momentum continuing with Jurassic World poised to take the world by storm in record-setting fashion in IMAX theatres," Greg Foster, Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment, said in a statement. "The film, directed by Colin Trevorrow and produced by Frank Marshall, is an epic addition to executive producer Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park series and is a must-see, jaw-dropping experience in IMAX."
