Just Cause 3 Features Marvel Easter Egg

Some open-world video games provide really cool surprises if you explore enough.

One such surprise was discovered by a YouTuber wandering the mountains of Just Cause 3. In the Grande Pastura region of the top map, Arekkz Gaming discovered Mjolnir, Thor's trusty hammer, apparently abandoned in the middle of a great crater.

It's likely a nod to the first Thor movie from Marvel Studios, when the hammer fell from Asgard into treacherous terrain and was simply left alone for a chunk of time until Thor could prove himself worthy enough to lift it again.

The narrator confirms there doesn't seem to be any way for your character to actually lift, move or damage the hammer -- it's essentially just part of the background -- but it's a fun Easter egg.
