Neil deGrasse Tyson Stars In The Martian Promo Video

The latest viral video for 20th Century Fox's The Martian features Neil deGrasse Tyson, a world renowned astrophysicist and host of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and StarTalk.

Tyson, a vocal proponent of space-travel, loans his credibility to this video that examines the fictitious Ares 3 and its upcoming mission to Mars. To travel to the Red Planet astronauts will make there journey is the Hermes, the most expensive and complex piece of machinery ever built by man. Tyson takes us on a guided tour of its exterior and explains what dangers and challenges the crew will face on their long journey.

The Martian will land in theaters October 2, 2015.
