Paramount Pictures has released a new featurette for Star Trek Beyond, focusing on the film's main villain, Krall. Listen as the actor that plays him, Idris Elba, and director Justin Lin, screenwriter/co-star Simon Pegg, and Captain Kirk himself, Chris Pine, share new details about Krall.
"Krall is very complex," Elba says in the featurette. "When you meet him, you go, 'Oh, he's a bad guy.' He's damaged, but there's some empathy towards him. We want to understand why he's got such beef with the Federation. He added, "Watching the Enterprise crash and burn, felt like I destroying a legacy. Krall is certainly going to be remembered for that."
