Pokemon Go continues to smash records whenever it finds them. Apple confirmed to TechCrunch today that the popular mobile app had more first week downloads than any other app in history. Apple declined to give an exact figure, but some estimate that over 4 million iPhone users have and use Pokemon Go on a daily basis.

We already know that Pokemon Go has been downloaded more than 30 million times on the Google Play store, which is a record in and of itself. While estimates vary, some believe the game could make Apple up to $5 billion, which is insane for any single app. Nintendo's stock has soared because of Pokemon Go, causing the company to issue a statement reminding investors that it only owns 33% of the company.

What's even more impressive about Pokemon Go's first week record is that in was only available in three countries at the time. Niantic Labs, Pokemon Go's developer, put off releases is Europe, Canada, and Japan in order to better stabilize its server space. As Pokemon Go continues to get released in more countries, we'll surely see the game break even more records (if there's any more left to break).
