Shane Black's The Predator has been in the works for quite some time, with initial reports about the film dating as far back as 2014. And with the reboot having begun production last month, its main cast of alien hunters is reportedly complete.
Deadline reports that Augusto Aguilera will play a lead role in the film. The young actor is best known for the role of Kieran on the ABC Family series Chasing Life, but also appeared in the Jason Momoa-directed short film Brown Bag Diaries: Ridin' the Blinds in B Minor. There are no details as to what role Aguilera will be playing.
Rounding out the rest of the film's cast are Black Panther's Sterling K. Brown, Moonlight's Trevante Rhodes, Logan's Boyd Holbrook, X-Men: Apocalypse's Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jacob Tremblay.
Supporting cast members include Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski and Game of Thrones' Alfie Allen. A unique array of names have been thrown around to appear in the film, from UFC star Connor McGregor to original Predator lead Arnold Schwarzenegger.
While the plot of the R-rated film is under wraps, Black has revealed that the film will be set in suburbia and promises that the film will 'reinvent' preconceived notions of the franchise. The film is set to be released on February 9th, 2018.
