Nintendo has officially added another character to Pokken Tournament. Sceptile, the fully evolved form of Hoenn region starter Treeko, was officially added to the roster of the Pokemon-themed fighting game in a video posted last week. ComicBook.com first reported on Sceptile's inclusion in Pokken Tournament last week, when a photo seemingly confirming the new character appeared online.

As seen in the video above, Sceptile will use a variety of Grass-Type moves, including Vine Whip, Grass Knot, Razor Blade and Leaf Blade (the latter of which is Sceptile's signature move). Sceptile will also be able to Mega Evolve in the game, increasing the power of his various moves.

Sceptile's addition to Pokken Tournament raises the cast of characters to at least playable characters. Machamp, Pikachu, Lucario, Suicune, Charizard, Blaziken, Gengar, Gardevoir, Weavile, and Pikachu Libre were all previously announced as playable characters. Last month, Nintendo also revealed "Shadow Mewtwo", a boss character who can be unlocked by beating the game or via an Amiibo that will be distributed with the game's launch.

Pokken Tournament will be released in spring 2016 for the Wii U and in select arcades.
