Good news for anyone who misses the dearly departed Damian Wayne: TV Guide has gotten their hands on a first look trailer for Son of Batman, the next DC Animated feature. Son of Batman is based loosely on the first story arc in Grant Morrison's long run writing Batman comics, which was illustrated by Andy Kubert. It seems that the film will take quite a few liberties with story, with Deathstroke appearing to be the primary antagonist even though he was not a part of the comic, and Damian quickly taking on the role of Robin while his father is still alive. The trailer looks pretty fun and it will be the first time Damian has been portrayed outside of comics, besides a couple small parts in DC video games (yes, there was that one episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but he was pretty much Damian in name only). In the film, Batman will be voiced by Jason O'Mara (Life on Mars, Terra Nova), Damian will be voiced by Stuart Allan, Deathstroke will be voiced by Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds, Dharma & Greg) and Talia Al Ghul will be voice by Morena Baccarin (Firefly, V). Son of Batman is scheduled to be released later in 2014.
