Can't wait until December 18, 2015 for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and don't live in the UK? Well, good news, as has been the trend for major releases lately, The Force Awakens screenings will actually start at 7pm December 17, 2015 in the domestic market, rather than the previous standard of Midnight. Many 2015 films have done the same, including Black Mass and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, that officially have release dates of tomorrow, instead having first screenings at 7pm or 8pm today.

So it's not a huge surprise with the huge anticipation already built, and getting stronger, for the next chapter in the Star Wars saga, that they'd choose to open it a hair early. One IMAX theater confirmed the early opening, saying screenings will start at 7pm on December 17, as reported by Slashfilm.

No official release for tickets going on sale has hit yet, but rumors point to sometime in October. If you're reading this in line, we salute you, and may the Force be with you, always.
