12-Gauge Comics has announced The Average Joes, a full-color 64-page comic book featuring Colt Ford and Friends form the Average Joes Entertainment music label as superheroes saving the world and fighting crime in the name of justice. The first issue of The Average Joes will be available online and sold in limited quantities at retail outlets and live shows. A special deluxe packaging of the comic that includes Colt Ford's new album Thanks for Listening will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart. Volume one will feature label artists Colt Ford, The LACS, Lenny Cooper and Sarah Ross, each with a unique super power. The Average Joes is the brainchild of Average Joes CEO/President, Shannon Houchins. "The concept for the comic book was developed as a marketing tool to provide artist content for all of our demographics," explained Houchins.  "Our artists' fan bases range from very young children to adults." The Average Joes is written by Doug Wagner, with art from  Daniel Hillyard and colors from Charlie Kirchoff.
