The WWE has WWE Supercard for their CCG audience and WWE Immortals for their Mortal Kombat fans, and it's looking to add WWE Champions for their puzzle game fans.

WWE Champions plays similarly to the likes of Candy Crush and Marvel's Puzzle Quest, but all inside a WWE ring. Players can collect more than 100 different WWE Superstars like Roman Reigns, Triple H, and John Cena right next to Legends like Sting, Andre the Giant, and of course, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (pictured above).

WWE Champions is currently in a very limited beta test, but set to launch worldwide on Android and iOS devices later in 2016. Much like the WWE's previous games, it will be a freenium game with in-app purchases for power-ups and easy access to characters.

Scopely, who recently made waves with The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is developing the game and has been said to have impressed the higher-ups in the WWE.

"Together with Scopely, we've planned an expansive slate of mobile gaming content to keep WWE's passionate fan base engaged," said Casey Collins, WWE's exec VP of consumer products. "We are definitely trying to work with blue-chip partners," he continued.

This could be a fun game. I was severely addicted to Supercards for a while, but Immortals didn't grab me as much. Maybe Champions is the right balance that some fans could be looking for.
