Barb from Stranger Things has been remembered by fans for her strong will, and the ability to stand up for what she believed was right. Even if it cost her a friend, Barb was going to stick by her guns.

It looks like Shannon Purser, who portrayed Barb on the series, has the same type of forward-thinking attitude. After engaging in a Riverdale-related debate on Twitter, the 19-year-old actress revealed to the world that she is bisexual.

The debate was sparked after Purser’s character Ethel, shared a kiss with Veronica on Riverdale. Some fans were upset by this, and Purser spoke out against the hate she was seeing from social media.

To end the argument, the actress posted a long note (which you can see below), stating that she had recently come out as bisexual to her family and friends.

While Shannon Purser has become a major player on Riverdale, she won’t be featured in the second season of Stranger Things.
