After the massive success of Fate of the Furious, the Fast and the Furious franchise is ready to continue speeding ahead – at least to Fast and the Furious 9, and a final chapter with Fast and the Furious 10. However, before we get to the end, there will be plenty of surprises for fans – including some surprise returning characters.
Fans already got a thrill when the Fast and the Furious filmmakers dropped teases that one of those returning characters may in fact be Han (Sung Kang), the badass mentor of Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift who was taken out by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) after the events of Fast and the Furious 6. Now, as Fate of the Furious has done its rounds of press, there are more hints dropping about how Han might be making a comeback.

Justice for Han
In a recent interview (via Cinema Blend),ย Fast and the Furiousย writer Chris Morgan teased the subject of Han getting some focus in the next installment(s):ย
“Justice for Han. I think you’ll learn a lot more about it, and I don’t know if that hashtag will be the appropriate one to put on it down the road. But I can tell you this: We will definitely be talking more about Han.”
Jason Stathamย also weighed in on the subject of Han – specifically the growing conundrumย about his character Deckardย Shaw’s new role in the franchise. Deckardย was a murderous badassย when he first crossed Dom’s crew – now he’s saving Dom’s baby, and getting ready to play nice with Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs. So when it comes to the subject of how to resolve the fatal blowย Deckardย dealt the Fast & Furiousย “familia,” how will peace be made – and how does a return of Han factor into that conflict?ย
As Stathamย explains: ย
“That whole episode has not fully detailed exactly what happened. I’m not going to say anything more than that! But [writer-producer Chris Morgan] likes to annoy the fans and please the fans and get all these angry protests. So, more to come.”
