One of the stars of the wildly popular Twilight saga and Underworld films, Michael Sheen, has announced that he will take a break from acting to follow his political activism. Sheen also starred in the Showtime series Masters of Sex, which wasn’t renewed for another season, but will put a hold on pursuing any acting endeavors.

Sheen’s interest in activism was sparked by his performance in the National Theatre of Wales’s The Passion in 2011, which involved 1,000 volunteers. Sheen recently moved from Los Angeles to Wales, citing Trump’s election and Brexit as reasons for leaving the U.S.
“It’s not going to look like this in ten years’ time,” Sheen told The Times about his relocation. “Everything has shifted. The dice are being rolled again.”
Sheen also stars alongside Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming Passengers.
