The movie Morgan may have slid under the radar of many fans in the non-stop PR blitz for Marvel and DC Comics based movies and their over-the-top action. But with a titular character who has genetically-bred superpowers, and a subtle, horror-style setting, many fans may be excited to see this movie, coming in September, when it hits.
The teaser shows Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) as Morgan, being interrogated by Paul Giamatti's character, who is clearly trying to get a rise out of her. Exactly what's happened up to this point is unclear, by it doesn't seem like things are going to go well for anyone that crosses the young superhuman. The rest of the cast is a who's who of actors from around the genre entertainment world: Kate Mara (The Martian, Fantastic Four), Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Chris Sullivan (Stranger Things, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), and Boyd Holbrook (upcoming Wolverine 3) are all featured.
Directed by Luke Scott and produced by Ridley Scott, the official synopsis from 20th Century Fox follows. Find out more on WhatIsMorgan.com.
A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent "human," who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.
