The Walking Dead The Making Of The After

AMC has released a video giving a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Walking Dead's midseason premiere episode, "After." The video focuses on Michonne's epic forest battle against a group of walkers. "This scene is really Michonne fighting for her soul," says actress Danai Gurira. "Since the destruction of the prison, she's been going through a serious depression. "She's in a realm where death seems to make more sense…it's a literal and metaphorical slaying of demons." One of the most interesting things about the scene is how it reaches the end of its choreography, but no one yells cut. Instead, the actors stay in character and act on instinct, extending the scene in a very primal way. The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights on AMC.
