Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is proving to be a box office behemoth in its opening weekend, raking in about $135.5 million over the last three days.

While audiences have fallen in love with the new story, darker tone, and fresh characters introduced in the movie, another big factor in Rogue One's success surrounds the incredible work of the film's score.

Instead of the mastermind behind the music of Star Wars, John Williams, Michael Giacchino composed the score for Rogue One. For those who haven't been counting, this marks the first time that a Star Wars film wasn't composed by Mr. Williams.

Giacchino did an incredible job, and the final product has resulted in a slew of big-name projects around Hollywood - including the follow-up to the insanely successful Jurassic World.

Giacchino teamed up with director Colin Trevorrow for Jurassic World, and he's now announced he will be composing the sequel, which is to be directed by JA Bayona. Trevorrow is producing the sequel, and was also one of the writers of the film's script.

In addition to the Jurassic World franchise, Gianacchio will have his hands full with a number of enormous projects. The composer is currently working on the score for Spider-Man: Homecoming, and he will follow that project up with the original compostition of the highly-anticipated Pixar film, The Incredibles 2.

Most recently, Giacchino has scored War For The Planet Of The Apes, Inside Out, Zootopia, Star Trek: Beyond, and Doctor Strange. The composer became a sought-after artist following his incredible work with the hit TV series, LOST.
