The Star Wars universe can’t seem to be stopped. The popular sci-fi franchise is a force to be reckoned with, but don’t blame midi-chlorians for its sensitive strength. Star Wars have been propped up for decades because of its undying fanbase, and Lucasfilm has been quick to reward those fans in recent years. In 2015, the studio debuted the first part of a brand-new trilogy which takes place after Star Wars: Episodes IV-VI, and the franchise was even gifted its first standalone flick last year. Now, all eyes are turning to Star Wars: Episode VIII and the upcoming Han Solo standalone project.

And, unsurprisingly, one of its stars has just described how intense it feels to be part of the ever-expanding universe.

Speaking with Collider. Woody Harrelson cautiously talked about his role in the Han Solo film and said he was pumped to work on the movie.

“It’s mind-blowing. I can’t reallyโ€ฆyou know, I never would’ve imagined that I’d get this opportunity so I’m really pumped about it. I really like those directors [Phil Lord and Chris Miller], I think they’re really great. You know let’s face it, almost any movie if the director’s great then the movie has a shot, but if they’re not obviously you’ve got very little chance of a good movie. I just feel great to be a part of that. What a cool thing,” he said.

Though Harrelson stayed mum about the finer points of his role, the actor did confirm he was playing a mentor of sorts to Alden Ehrenreich’s Han Solo.

“I don’t think the Force is allowing me to talk about this. They want me to keep pretty mum so I better not say too much about it,” he said. “They’re pretty top secret about the script and the storyโ€ฆ It’ll be cool to be mentoring Han Solo, that will be cool.”

Of course, Harrelson echoed those same remarks in an interview with Mashable. The actor told the site during a live Q&A the follow about his mysterious role:

“I’m a mentor to Han, but I’m also a bit of a criminal. I don’t think I should say much more than that, because the Force is not allowing me.” Um, Woody, that’s not how the Force works, trust us, we heard it from Han himself.”

Currently, Han Solo is scheduled for a May 25, 2018 release, but recent rumors suggest it may come out December 13, 2018. The film would then follow suit of Star Wars: Episode VIII.
