AMC has released a batch of mysterious new photos in promotion of The Walking Dead‘s upcoming seventh season.

The photos, rounded up in the gallery below, show off new looks at familiar communities but also tease the new world’s ahead. Featured in the images are glimpses of Negan’s Sanctuary, Ezekiel’s Kingdom, weapons of the Hilltop, the Alexandria community, and much more.
Looking through the photos, you will notice Ezekiel’s staff, the spear weapons crafted by the Hilltop, a river which may set up the rumored scene between Tara and Heath filmed on Jekyll Island, and other creepy teases of things to come in the new episodes.
The mystery surrounding the AMC series has never been more intriguing. All summer long we’ve been asking ourselves who it is that Negan killed but these photos prompt more questions along the lines of, “What the hell is going on?” Several new locations will apparently be coming into play but the Saviors are going to bring a lot of grit into the picture. Their vehicles and weapons are teased in the new batch of photos and none of them look welcoming.
One of the more standout photos in the new batch shows a head on a spike. For comic book fans, the first thought is of the Whisperers and their declaration of territory by putting heads on spikes but the Sanctuary uses walkers as form of security outside of their hold up. This includes heads on spikes, as seen in the comics.
