The Walking Dead: Five Things We Don't Want To See In Season 7B
The next eight episodes of The Walking Dead promise see the communities of the apocalypse rally in [...]
Humbled Rick
The humbled and broken Rick Grimes was grueling on Alexandria and fans alike. For eight episodes, the leader of the apocalypse has been a puppet for Negan to make dance, clap, and deliver resources as he pleases.
We don't want to see anymore broken, humiliated, and humbled Rick. Give us the bearded, fearless, overconfident leader who will do anything and everything to protect his community and protect what's right. With Rick having received his python to conclude the 2016 run, it's likely we will see the leader we can all rally behind return in the next episodes and we're all glad to have him back.
Soft Carol
Another character who needs to come back into form is Carol Pelettier. The most hardened of all characters has gone incredibly soft in recent episodes.
In Season 6, Carol ran away from Alexandria in an effort to isolate herself from people she cared about to avoid killing to protect them. However, if you don't kill, you die in the apocalypse. No one wants to see Carol die. She has had the largest, most significant arc in the entire series. Starting out as a scared and beaten housewife, Carol evolved into the woman who saved the lives of Rick, Glenn, Abraham, and almost every other major character when they got themselves trappedi n Terminus.
We want the Carol who loves the group and will do anything to protect them back!
Bottle Episodes
Episodes with a singular focus on just one character made the first eight episodes of The Walking Dead Season 7 feel drawn out and uneventful despite being packed with great content.
Fans don't want to see episodes of The Walking Dead which leave most of the fan favorite characters out. We don't want to go two weeks without seeing Rick, Daryl or Maggie. Keep the group together and, if they're scattered, show multiple perspectives and plot lines in each episode.
The Whisperers
One thing fans of The Walking Dead have been clamoring for is the introduction of a popular villainous group from Robert Kirkman's comics called The Whisperers.
There is little to no reason to believe that the Whisperers will be introduced on the AMC series any time soon but blatant teases and plays on expectations through promotional photos and other avenues have prompted speculation of their early arrival. We don't need to see the Whisperers on The Walking Dead before the war with Negan concludes or even begins. Keep the Whisperers for Season 8, 9 and/or beyond.
Negan's Death
Although he's been a complete jerk and become one of the most hated villains on television, Negan's death is something most fans don't want to see.
Not only do we hope to see Negan's storyline stay true to that of The Walking Dead comics but killing off such a compelling character would be in poor taste. Negan and Rick's relationship can blossom into one of the most intricate and important on the show.
Punish Negan, beat him up and throw him in jail, but don't kill the leader of the Saviors.
