The Walking Dead has returned, and the rest of this season has promised to be more epic than fans may be ready for. No, seriously, the cast and crew has promised these episodes are going to knock your socks off.
The new story arc is focused on the rebuilding of the survivors' strength, and the road to war with Negan and the Saviors.
In order to be successful in that war, Rick will need the help of Ezekiel, as well as the knights of his Kingdom. But, will the King be willing to help out? Or is he content with staying the patient course?
Remember, Richard has tried to get Ezekiel to fight before, and the King has stood his ground. That's why Richard went to Morgan and Carol for help in the last episode.
Why will things be any different when Rick comes knocking?
Honestly, Ezekiel probably won't listen. At least, not at first. During their initial meeting - which will likely take place in this episode - Ezekiel isn't going to want to prepare for war. The guy has lost too much, and he doesn't want to lose any more.

However, as time goes on, Ezekiel will come around. Whether it takes another life lost, or a traitor from the Saviors to convince him of Negan's power, Ezekiel will eventually team up with Rick.
It isn't a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
