Stephen King Turns 67 Years Old Today

When people think of horror writers, the first name that will likely pop into most people's minds is Stephen King. His name has become synonymous with modern day horror. King has published over fifty novels and written hundreds of short stories. His books have sold over 350 million copies (and that number comes from a report that's eight years old).

King's work has been adapted into movies, TV shows, and comic books. In fact, Marvel Comics has an ongoing deal to adapt King's Dark Tower novels. Marvel is currently publishing The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three – The Prisoner series.

Stephen King was born on September 21, 1947 in Portland, Maine. He turns 67 years old today.
