The Flash's Live +3 ratings are in, and it's officially the top-rated premiere episode ever on The CW, according to Deadline.

The overnight ratings had the Arrow spinoff lagging behind The Vampire Diaries premiere, but the Live +3 ratings leapfrogged not only the Live +3 numbers for that show, but also the Live +7 numbers for TVD -- meaning that whatever gains The Flash makes over the next four days to be measured are just for good measure.

Here's how the numbers break down, again courtesy Deadline, if you're interested:

The superhero drama did it with the help of a healthy 33% Live+3 boost, which lifted its premiere audience to 6.42 million. That is higher than both the L+3 (5.49 million) and Live+7 viewership (5.66 million) for the TVD 2009 launch...

The Flash also currently has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 96% from critics and 95% from fans -- making it better received than any other comic book-based production this year.

The series' second episode airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
