In what is expected to be one of the years biggest exhibitions, Tim Burton is giving Tokyo, Japan a glimpse into his movie-making magic, CCTV reports.

Best known for films such as Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the eccentric director was recently in Japan to introduce The World of Tim Burton exhibition. The exhibit 500 items from the director's archives of more than 10,000 film-related pieces of props and drawings.

"All this stuff that's in there was stuff that was all very private," Burton said. "Work that never really was meant to be shown, so it's quite interesting to see it in a museum and on the walls of a place and people enjoy it. So it's very exciting for me, thank you."

The World of Tim Burton exhibition runs from November 1st to the 4th at Tokyo's Mori Art Museum.
