It may take a bit of black magic on his part, but Constantine star Matt Ryan would love a spot on the "Justice League Dark" roster.

Ryan, who plays the titular character John Constantine, spoke with IGN about his experience working on the NBC series thus far. Inevitably, IGN popped the "movie" question, asking Ryan if he would like to be involved in DC's developing film plans.

Here's what Ryan had to say: "What's so great is that there's so many great storylines and the Justice League Dark stuff as well. How fantastic would that be if we could do something like that? Obviously those things are out of my hands, so we'll see."

It's hard to imagine any other answer coming out the actor's mouth. But any news on the in-development Justice League Dark film could still be years away. Director Guillermo del Toro, who has spearheaded the project and would most likely direct, has his hands full with his Pacific Rim franchise for the next several years. Plus, DC did not include the film in their DC Universe film lineup, which spans the next six years. Of course, Dark could exist independently through DC's New Line "standalone" comic films, like The Rock-headlined Shazam! and the rumored Sandman films.

A Justice League Dark film would unite many of DC's mystical characters, including John Constantine, Zatana, Swamp Thing, Deadman, an dmore. The team has been a part of DC Comics lore since September 2011, when "Justice League Dark #1" launched under the publisher's New 52 initiative.

Constantine continues this Friday with "Danse Vaudou" at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
