If you've been on social media today, then odds are you've probably seen links to about a gazillion leaked trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, none of them are real. They are all either fan-made fakes or jokes.

One trailer is convincing enough that it has garnered over 3 million views on YouTube. Some of the other fakes are so poorly made that fans have been complaining about their disappointment in the trailer on social media. Still other trailers start out rather convincingly, but then wind up being Rick Astley singing "Never Gonna Give You Up."

To combat all the fake, leaked trailers, Lucasfilm has taken the rather unusual method of calling out the fakes via Twitter. In regards to the most popular fake trailer, the official Star Wars twitter account posted, "That trailer is not the official trailer, it is fan-made. The real deal drops on Friday."

When a fan tweeted that the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer looked cheap, the official Star Wars Twitter account responded, "That's because it's fan-made. The real one comes out tomorrow."

In fact, Lucasfilm has responded to numerous fans personally via social media reassuring them that all the leaked Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers going around are 100% fake.

The real Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released online on Friday, November 28, 2014.
