Last week, we picked up on the story that Harrison Ford would be returning for Blade Runner 2, but that Ridley Scott would not be directing, originally run by Variety. Well, it seems everyone may have jumped the gun on the latter part.

"I don't know about [not directing Blade Runner 2] yet," Scott told Yahoo in a new interview.

Scott went on to praise the script, and explain why it would be so hard to replace himself on the film.

"The script is very, very good. Very good. I wouldn't know [what sort of director we'd want]. It's a hard one to track because it's a very personal piece of my work…Blade Runner may be one of the most personal pieces I did. I got so beaten up for it, I said I'd never try that again. But here we are. It's sitting there ready to be made."

While the plot of Blade Runner 2 remains a mystery, it is said that Ford will be returning, but will likely not be the primary protagonist of the film.

Filming for Blade Runner 2 is expected to begin in 2015.
