The Flash/Arrow Crossover To Air Back to Back on January 13

flash-arrowThe CW announced today that it will air the two crossover episodes between The Flash and Arrow back-to-back on January 13, taking advantage of a week with almost no new programming airing to re-run their ratings-grabbing, two-hour TV event all at once rather than split up over two days.

Tuesday, January 13, The Flash will air "Flash Vs. Arrow" at 8 p.m. ET/PT, while the 9 p.m. slot will be filled by the Arrow episode "The Brave and the Bold."

The episodes, which originally aired in early December, were a huge success for TheCW, with "The Brave and the Bold" marking the highest-ever ratings for an episode of Arrow. They're already finding their way onto a lot of year-end "Best of TV" lists.

New episodes of The Flash and Arrow return on January 20 and 21, respectively.

I really don't think Oliver Queen is dead.  He IS the Arrow.  I haven't picked up a comic book in years but they would kill themselves to off Queen, in my opinion.

I think one of three options will present itself.

When Oliver went over the mountain, his experience from years spent on the island kicked in and he instinctively saved himself, grabbing whatever he could on his way down and eventually ending up in a crevice, waiting to be saved by his friends.  That's boring, I know.  Let's go to the second.

A lot of talk has been brewing about Flash's potential time travel abilities kicking in.  Maybe he will be so messed up at his friends death that he will be running to clear his head, push himself out of frustration, accidentally break the time barrier and come to the realization that "Hey..I can save him". Also, he would use the ability to go further back in time to his mother's death to try to stop it (remember, young Barry saw a yellow and RED series of lighting flashes).

And, thirdly.  Reverse Flash.  Maybe he would travel back in time and save Oliver. Of course, not from the goodness of his heart, but to mess with Barry. He killed someone Barry loved, and he also saved someone he is close to.  What's a Flash to do???

Mind you, I've been out of touch with comic books for years so my thinking is pretty much old school.  It will be interesting to see their take on this.

Still trying to figure out Harrison Wells.  :)

  2. They should put both shows onto one night. If they did this in the first place the ratings would sky rocket
