Dark Horse & Blizzard Team For World Of Warcraft Series

Dark Horse Comics and Blizzard Entertainment have joined forces for a new World of Warcraft book series titled "World of Warcraft: Chronicle."

The prose novels will tell the history of Warcraft's universe across multiple volumes, starting with "World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1." According to Dark Horse, the first volume will reveal how the Warcraft universe came into existence, along with Azeroth's secret history and origins. Subsequent volumes will fill in the narrative gaps between Warcraft universe's beginnings and its current status quo in the games, giving a complete chronicle of the Warcraft mythology.

Volume 1 will also feature twenty full-page illustrations by World of Warcraft artist Peter Lee.

"We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters," Paul Sams, Blizzard Entertainment's chief operating officer, said in a release statement. "This new series digs deeply into all of that—we can't wait for players to read it."

World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 arrives in comic shops and bookstores this November.
