The Lego Batman Movie Is About If Batman Can Be Happy

In a recent interview with MTV, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, co-writers and directors of The Lego Movie spin-off, The Lego Batman Movie, promise the new film will explore an aspect of the Caped Crusader that's virtually unprecedented.

"No spoilers," Lord teased. "But I will say I think the movie is really exciting because it's about 'Can Batman be happy?'"

"'Wah, I'm so rich and handsome, and women like me, and I've got a Maclaren,'" Lord said, mocking the Dark Knight. "'Something about my parents!'"

Lord also added that the film will feature some very stellar action scenes.

"The action in it is incredible," he teased. "It's impressive."

Will Arnett, who will once again voice Lego Batman, concurred. "The first bit that I've seen was mind-boggling."

The Lego Batman Movie lands in theaters in 2017.
