Last night, the long-running animated sitcom The Simpsons aired a brief tribute to Charlie Hebdo, the French magazine that was the site of a mass shooting earlier in the week.

Yesterday, the "je suis Charlie" movement staged protests around the world and saw solidarity from celebrities during the Golden Globe Awards as well.

The Simpsons airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
