Warwick Davis Teases Darth Vader and Chewbacca on Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Set

While everyone knows that Luke, Han, and Leia will return for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, even more familiar faces from the original trilogy might show up for J.J. Abrams' installment.

And they're big ones. During an appearance on the U.K.'s The One Show, Ewok actor Warwick Davis revealed that he had recently been on The Force Awakens' set, and even shared photos that he had taken while there. And in Davis' photos, one can see a glimpse of Chewbacca and Darth Vader.

As The Hollywood Reporter cited, it is fairly well known that Chewbacca would appear in The Force Awakens. After all, he is listed on the movie's official IMDB page. Vader's inclusion, however, is a little more perplexing. As far as anyone knows, the Sith Lord is dead and gone. It could be that The Force Awakens will show Vader in a flashback sequence, or, perhaps a new villain will rise to claim the mantle for his or herself. Either way, the shot of Vader certainly opens some big questions for The Force Awakens, which most likely won't be answered until the film's release.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18th.
