Felicity Jones Talks Status Of Black Cat In The Amazing Spider-Man Universe

Clevver Movies recently spoke to Felicity Jones at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards to find out the status of her playing "Black Cat" in a future Spider-Man movie.

"She's such a great character in the comics. I mean if that happen that would be lovely. There are no plans but I would love to play her. She's an awesome female character."

In the comics, the Black Cat is Felicia Hardy, the daughter of a world-renowned cat burglar. After suffering a traumatic event as a college freshman, she trained herself in various fighting styles and acrobatics and, after deciding to follow in her father's footsteps, adopted her costumed identity as the Black Cat.

Hardy made her cinematic debut as Harry Osborn's assistant in last year's Amazing Spider-Man 2, portrayed by Jones.

A Spider-Man spin-off film featuring a female lead has been under consideration by Sony.
